On the solemn occasion of the death anniversary of Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice, our school community gathered together for a meaningful prayer service to honor his life, mission, and vision. The service was held in the school auditorium and was attended by students, teachers. 

The program began with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the light of faith that Edmund Rice brought into the lives of the poor and marginalized. This was followed by selected readings that narrated the inspiring journey of Blessed Edmund—from a successful businessman to a compassionate educator who dedicated his life to uplifting the needy through education. These readings reminded everyone present of his unwavering faith in God and his commitment to social justice.

The intercessory prayers that followed were heartfelt petitions, asking God to bless the students, teachers, Christian Brothers, and all members of the school community so that they may live out the values of service, compassion, and integrity that Edmund cherished.

A highlight of the service was a short skit performed by the students, centered on the theme: Are we truly living the values and dreams that Edmund Rice stood for? Through simple yet powerful dialogues and scenes, the skit portrayed the challenges students face today—peer pressure, selfishness, and indifference—and contrasted them with the call to kindness, inclusivity, and service, which Edmund emphasized.

The reflection that followed the skit provided a moment of deep thought, urging students to examine their own lives in light of Edmund’s vision. The message was clear: Edmund Rice’s legacy is not just a story of the past, but a living call to action for every student.

The prayer service concluded with a hymn of thanksgiving, leaving the community inspired to walk in the footsteps of Blessed Edmund, keeping his spirit alive in their daily actions.
